Education Insights Partner Closes Third Acquisition in Special Education Market;  Fifth Acquisition of 2016

Malvern, Pa., — December 20, 2016 – Frontline Education has acquired eSPED.com, Inc., a leading provider of SaaS solutions for educators, administrators and parents of children with personalized educational needs. This marks the fifth acquisition of 2016 for Frontline and the third acquisition in the Special Education and Interventions market. Through these acquisitions, as well as development and expansion in-house, Frontline Education has become the nation’s leading education software company, now serving more than 8,500 education organizations.

“Frontline Education is committed to providing the most comprehensive, integrated human capital portfolio for K-12 school districts across the United States and special education is a critical component of that effort,” said Tim Clifford, CEO of Frontline Education. ”We understand the unique challenges of efficiently managing programs and processes for children with personalized education needs. This acquisition allows us to extend that support to more districts, educators and parents who need it.”

The eSTAR suite delivers compliance verification, state reporting validation, report filtering for data-driven decision making, digital archiving and highly secure end-to-end application access, allowing users to enter data safely and quickly. eSPED’s cloud-based applications for multi- authored student documents and expertly engineered analytical tools afford teachers valuable time with their students and pave the road for data-driven decisions in schools across the nation. The IEP/ARD solution is adaptive to changing standards as well as state and federal regulations, alerting users of new requirements that may impact student data and documentation.

“We are truly excited to join the Frontline family with deep special needs expertise and, thereby, expand our resources in service of the special education and interventions community,” said Mark Ventre, COO of eSPED. “Our companies have a shared vision for the future of personalized education software and the education community as a whole that is founded on efficiency, transparency and ease-of-use.”

eSPED joins Frontline Education’s Special Ed & Interventions portfolio, which launched this year with the acquisition of Centris Group (April 2016) and Excent (September 2016). With this most recent acquisition, Frontline has expanded its Special Education & Interventions footprint in the delivery and management of IEP/ARD, RTI/MTSS, 504, ELL and Medicaid solutions.

“Together, we will continue to provide award-winning support and trusted solutions to the Special Education and Interventions community, ensuring that our customers receive the extraordinary level of support that they have come to expect from the eSPED and Frontline Education teams,” said Tim Clifford.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
