Caledonia Community Schools

Lexington School District One values customer service, eager to meet the needs of staff and teachers and equip them to better support student success. LSD1 strives to be a destination district that is desirable to the greatest education talent, in order to provide its students with the best educational experiences.

Challenge Caledonia Community Schools

The Challenge:

Lexington School District One was facing some of the age-old challenges in K-12 Human Resources across their district: enabling HR to make the greatest impact given a limited budget, delighting staff with outstanding customer service, and maximizing student educational experiences. Wrangling in data manually just wasn’t cutting any more.

The Solution:

In April 2021, Lexington School District One took on these challenges headfirst and selected Frontline HRMS as their district-wide HR system of record to empower their team to support the entire employee lifecycle in the most meaningful way possible.

We are thrilled with the idea of having data at our fingertips. Being able to get the data we need quickly and efficiently, both at the district and school levels, is a huge game changer for us.”

Devona Price, CHRO

Results Caledonia Community Schools

The Results:

Employing Frontline HRMS allowed LSD1 to check off all the items on their list:

Having access to accurate, up-to-the-minute information is a game changer for LSD1:

In this era of such a high need for teachers and for staff, we are constantly being asked, ‘How many openings do you have, what does that look like?’…And for us, a lot of manual data collection takes place to do that, and we aren’t really a hundred percent sure it’s accurate because it changes every minute….Being able to finally just click on a button and see, at that moment, how many are approved, how many are pending approval, how many vacancies we still have, where they are? Are they all high school, are they all elementary, do we need to be targeting a certain area? That’s just huge for us, and to be able to do that quickly and efficiently, both here at the district level and in the school level, is going to be a game changer for us.”

Devona Price, CHRO

Providing employees with the best possible experience is easier than ever:

Customer service for our district is huge. We are really looking forward to using this system to not only give employees the empowerment to look up their own data anytime they want to, but they can also request changes straight from the system. They can look and see what they have, they can request a transfer, they can request time off. The possibilities are really endless. We’ve done so much already using digital forms and automating some things for our employees, but it’s going to be just so much better for them in the future!”

Meredith Falls, HR Project Director

Streamlining communication has taken HR to the next level:

With Frontline, we’re really excited about how workflows are more automated and transparent. Anyone in my department can ask me a question and immediately we can pull it up and find the answers together, and that’s huge in our department! We all deal with different types of questions in HR or even different people, but with Frontline HRMS it’s very easy for us to work together and figure out the processes for each different employee here in HR.”
