Addressing Student Behavior with Better Data Practices
In recent years, educators have faced a troubling rise in challenging student behaviors. Twice as many teachers now report witnessing violent classroom incidents compared to years past, and 84% say students struggle with self-regulation and relationship skills. With 81% of superintendents acknowledging that behavioral concerns have worsened significantly, it’s clear: schools need to take control with innovative, data-driven solutions.
The Foundation for Positive Change
Good data practices are the key to driving meaningful change in schools. Sara Thomas, M.Ed., Senior Analytics Advisor at Frontline Education, will share how Troy Community Consolidated School District 30c improved discipline data practices to uncover key behavioral trends and strengthen support for educators. She will also highlight Altoona School District’s journey in refining College and Career Readiness data, helping ensure students stay on track for future success.
Kevin Agnello, PhD, Group Product Manager at Frontline Education, will provide research-backed insights into how data hygiene impacts decision-making, allowing schools to move beyond gut feelings to evidence-based strategies that improve both student behavior and long-term outcomes.
