Summer at the Boston Museum of Science

Perhaps you’ve seen the Ben Stiller movie Night at the Museum, where the exhibits come alive at night. While we can’t make you a movie star, we can offer you a unique opportunity to make science come alive for your students with a Boston Museum of Science Teacher-in-Residence scholarship from Frontline Education.

Two Frontline Education clients will be awarded a Boston Museum of Science Teacher-in-Residence scholarship where you will:

  • Learn from Museum staff
  • Share your knowledge of formal learning environments
  • Access a unique behind the scenes perspective of the Museum
  • Serve as a liaison between the Museum and your school or district
  • Collaborate on a relevant Museum project
  • Participate in a weekly summer seminar (Monday through Thursday from July 10-August 10)
  • Work on an independent project of your choice
  • Commit to an additional 24 hours of research during the school year
  • Develop a product determined by you and your Museum partner
  • Attend a call-back meeting in early December 2017

The details:

  • Applications are due on April 10, 2017
  • Choose from five different residence opportunities

  • Finalists will be contacted for interviews and invitations will be sent to selected participants by May 8, 2017
  • The program runs from Monday, July 10 through Thursday, August 10, 2017 — typically Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM with some flex schedules available
