Quiz: Test Your Overtime Knowledge

Time & Attendance

Last July, the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division proposed significant changes to the rules around overtime pay. The proposed updates have gotten a lot of attention from employers, and when the DOL solicited feedback from the public, they received around 270,000 comments. Clearly, the issue has struck a nerve.

Have you been keeping up with the changes? Take the quiz below! [Note: We’ve updated the quiz to reflect the content of the final version of the overtime rules, which were published in May 2016 and will take effect on December 1, 2016.]

All employers — school districts included — with workers who may be newly eligible for overtime pay should start thinking now about how to prepare. A great place to start: using an accurate time-tracking system to know which of your employees may be affected by the new regulations.
