Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is an intermediate unit, or educational service agency, serving 22 districts locally and accessible to 500 districts across the state. IU13 offers a menu of services to all districts, including training for teachers and support staff, professional development for administrators, and the use of Frontline’s solutions. IU13’s success depends on consistently attracting and retaining the best staff as well as delivering quality services to school districts.
To make sure that happens, IU13 uses three Frontline solutions to save valuable time and resources, provide high-quality services to schools across the state and meet their organizational goals.
Frontline Recruiting & Hiring has increased the efficiency of the human resources department by eliminating data entry — from screening applications and hiring top candidates to transferring new hires directly into the payroll system — allowing supervisors to focus on finding the right educators.
Frontline Absence & Time takes care of contacting and placing substitutes, eliminating the need to have three people calling substitutes every day.
Frontline Professional Growth solves the challenge of tracking professional development for employees and documenting teacher effectiveness.
“If we don’t sell our service, we’re not in business. We have to attract the best people in the region to come work here. We’ve got to attract the best and maintain the best, because if we don’t, we’ve got students who don’t learn, who don’t grow and who aren’t successful, and then our districts come back and ask, ‘Well, why we would buy this service from you?’ It’s all related.”
